Billy Corgan may divide opinion, but if we can split the person from the artist, then you are left with his body of work. And, when that’s all you’re left with, then it really isn’t too outlandish a claim to make to suggest that he’s been one of the premier rock writers of the last quarter of a century. Honestly.
Speaking of which, that’s the title of this lost classic from his short-lived post-Pumpkins ‘band’ Zwan. It didn’t really work and he soon high-tailed it back to the ‘not-actually-the’ Smashing Pumpkins of the last five years, but this does not dilute the shimmering beauty of their first single. Enjoy.
