The Raveonettes. With image rights payable to the Velvet Underground, of course. Like a lot of Scandanavian bands, they don’t really seem all that interested in eclipsing the things they like so much as simply aping them. This can be a bad thing, of course, but (again, like a lot of Scandanavian bands) they do it with such joy and chutzpah it’s easy to forgive them.
Here they are performing new single ‘Bang!’ in London last month.
