There’s a lot of it about. Indeed, female fronted retro sounding electropop is only slightly less prevalent right now than swine flu and, in the case of the exceptionally untalented La Roux, even more virulent. Oh come on, she’s like the Hazel Blears of the Gallup Top 40. But yeah, we’ve had that, Florence and the Machine and Bat for Lashes, all with varying degrees of success.
But as you know, we don’t just moan about things we don’t like. Sometimes we whine about them too. But in this case, we present an actual, proper alternative; an act from the genre who is simply brilliant. If you like any of the above mentioned, then you are going to stain your undergarments in excitement at how good she is. Here’s her single ‘My Delerium’. Enjoy.

Yah for some Ladyhawke exposure. Would urge everyone to check out Paris is Burning as well. My favourite single from the last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1HDZNR9cY4.
You can join in the “Does this sound like Gary Numan’s Cars?” debate.
It does sound like that my friend – but I would much rather spend an hour with her than that Tory bastard!
Well, aye. Plus it’s a much, much better song that “Cars” could ever hope to be!
Yes, agreed. I did like that Sugababes song that took the riff, mind!
