Just a quick note to remind you all that Stag and Dagger takes place this Saturday, May 23rd. As well as ELM faves Cold War Kids, Black Lips, White Denim (pictured) The Aliens and the Phantom Band, there’s a whole host of interesting stuff on the bill underneath, the real joy of this festival being up and coming talent, such as Meursalt, Dannananakroyd, Paper Planes, The Mae Shi and the Joy Formidable.
That’s why this festival deserves your support; it’s ambitious, it’s genuinely innovative and it’s looking at a broader audience than more mainstream festivals. For those of us who’ve never really enjoyed standing in a field , caked and mud and shivering in wet, sub-arctic conditions, City Centre Festivals are things to be encouraged.
It’s being held across various venues, such as the Art School, Stereo and the Captain’s Rest which are amongst Glasgow’s finest.
it’s £16.50 and very good value in our humble opinion. So hopefully see you there!
