ELM decry all awards ceremonies. Music is subjective and cannot be judged. It is wrong, and it is unfair on all those who sweat and toil to try to bring us their vision.
Well, except tonight, when for the first time in MMP history, the band we wanted to win actually did. I feel like a gay lad hosting an Oscars Party who has just seen ‘Brokeback Mountain’ cleaning up.
Best of all, this is one for the good guys. Tonight, ELM is drinking to The Seldom Seen Kid.

18 years, 4 record labels, self finances album……they do deserve it. I bought ‘Asleep At The Back’ when it came out and they’ve been delivering quality ever since.

Yes. A result for the right people at last. I only caught the last 3 minutes on TV having been at my second job to pay for my extravagant and drug-fuelled lifestyle.
The look of disbelief on Elbow’s faces was a picture. And they were all really wasted too.
I liked the way they had a sweepstake going and Elbow were the worst pick.
